Creating awareness on World Down Syndrome Day and World Autism Awareness Day

Dear All Registered Organizations,

In the next fortnight, two important events – World Down Syndrome Day (21st March, 2019) and World Autism Awareness Day (2nd April, 2019) are taking place. Awareness on the two subjects needs to be created in the society. I understand that you all are working for these two issues and providing necessary help and support to persons with these disabilities and their families. The National Trust is committed to support you to its level best in all endeavours by your esteemed organization. A write up on the two subjects is as Annexure-A PDF File  [(file not found)] and Annexure-B PDF File  [(file not found)] which can be circulated to all concerned Organisations/ Departments, Educational Institutions, Training Centres etc.

As you are aware, the National Trust has initiated an Inclusive India initiative on 6.6.2017 with focus on Education, Employment and Community living. The initiative needs to be carried out in all spheres of the society. Persons with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities have great potential. The society needs to identify the hidden talent in these persons and provide opportunity for its advancement.

On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day and World Autism Awareness Day, let us create awareness on Down Syndrome and Autism in the Society in order to make persons with Down Syndrome and Autism included in the Society.
